Found some old pics of dear Oliver.

I had to use my parents' ancient digital camera today for a last minute assignment for the Register. As I uploaded today's pictures, I discovered some oldies from a couple of years ago.

I'm not usually a fan of rodents but the family had a pet guinea pig named Oliver. And boy, was he cute. When we held him, his body fat simply meshed together to form this cute, furry brown and white egg shape with round black eyes :)

This almost reminds me of Oliver's incredible bravery. At least twice, our black labs tried to eat him. They failed to fatally clamp him in their jaws but succeeded at frightening him to the point of ultimate stillness. The only movement was his tiny heart pounding so quickly, it almost shot out of his chest.

He died a natural death last year. Here's some cute pictures of the two...ahem, I mean, one rodent and my brother.


Tee hee hee! Anyway, don't you just love finding old pictures and reminiscing on the little fun things that made you smile once? I sure do.
