Honeymoon

7.19.2012

It's funny how honeymoons work. I think, for most brides, it's the last thing that's on their minds until the day after the wedding. Then, all of a sudden, as if the honeymoon planned itself entirely, husband and wife are on a plane to enjoy the most relaxing week ever.

Mark and I went to Riviera Maya, Mexico and stayed at the all-inclusive Excellence Resort. And I do not exaggerate when I say this: it was the bomb. We had access to over 9 restaurants (and all were delicious), tons of beautiful pools, and of course, the white sandy beaches. Since everything was prepaid, we ordered room service, indulged with 3+ entrees per meal, went to the breakfast buffet every morning, and ordered unlimited chips & salsa on the beach. Is that not heaven on earth?!

We didn't do much other than sleep (15+ hours on the first day, ha!), read, swim, eat and sleep again. The two activities we did were an hour-long bike tour around the resort and an all-day scuba diving trip at Cozumel Island. Unfortunately, the CD of scuba diving photos & videos, which we bought for $60, has been lost. Hopefully, it's found soon because a) it cost $60 and b) we need evidence of our first time scuba diving!

Other than that, I'll let the photos do the talking...

[A bike tour]

[Plenty of romantic dinners]

[And dancing at the "nightclub"]

[Scuba diving & exploring in Cozumel]

[And just hanging out...]
