{about}

The Blog
I created this blog when I interned and lived in Washington D.C. in the summer of 2008. It was my first time away from home for an extended period of time, so I figured a blog would be an effective and fun way to keep my family and friends in the loop with my regular day-to-day outings.

What this blog has evolved into is a creative outlet for me to reveal how wonderful and complex the world around us is. Since my stint in D.C., I have studied and lived in France, traveled to England, Ireland, Czech Republic, Hungary and Italy. And today, I am living in Seoul, South Korea.

And there is no doubt that sans borders has been wonderful to me in return: it has given me a reason to digest things more thoroughly than I usually do and view things with a more meticulous eye than normal. In an inexplicable yet magical way, this blog has figured out how to slow down time, so that when it's time for me to post, the bustling city of Seoul gives me a few extra moments to breathe and simply reminisce...

The Name
The name sans borders is a mix of French and English, which translates into "without borders." My motto for this blog has always been, "Without borders, we are limitless and boundless." I have been so wonderfully blessed with a life that transcends borders with opportunities to explore the limitless world out there!

Yours Truly
Simply put, I love creativity (and coffee). And writing & photography are my ways of doing just that. I consider photography purely a hobby but writing is my career and passion. You can explore some of my published work on the clips page.
